- Sessions run online by default: no commuting required, wherever you live in Quebec.
- You set your own availability; we bring you students in your subjects.

What we offer
What you get, in concrete terms
No promise of a full schedule. Here is what we commit to providing.
You choose your own hours
You declare your time slots and adjust them from one semester to the next. Nothing is imposed outside them.
Students matched to your strengths
We offer you your subjects and your levels, not whatever is left to fill.
No commuting required
By default everything happens by video call, from home, with no travel and no expenses. Travelling to a student’s home is an option, never a condition: you say so in your application, and you can change your mind later.
Teaching support
You get the student’s context before the first session: level, difficulties, goals, and the intervention plan if there is one.
Regular payment
We pay you for every hour of tutoring you deliver, on a schedule confirmed to you in writing when you are hired.
We do not guarantee a full schedule: the number of matches depends on demand in your subject.

We are hiring first in Secondary and Cégep mathematics, science, chemistry, physics and French.
University student
You study the subject you want to teach, and tutoring bends around your class schedule.
- A strong record in the subject you would teach

Teacher
You teach in elementary or high school and want a few hours in the evening or on weekends.
- First-hand knowledge of the classroom and the report card
- Used to working with an intervention plan
University graduate
You want to pass on what you know, part time, without leaving your main job.

Subject specialist
You are very strong in one specific area, for students with a targeted need.

Eligibility
The requirements, stated plainly
If even one of these does not hold, the application will not move forward.
A criminal record check
Required before your first session, because the work involves vulnerable people. No exceptions.
Real command of the subject and the level
You solve, explain and correct the material at that level without heavy preparation.
Knowledge of the Quebec school programme
The progression from elementary school to Secondary 5, the report card, ministry exams and uniform exams.
Reliable equipment
A stable connection, a computer, a microphone and a camera. The camera stays on: that is a safety rule.
A minimum commitment of hours
You stay with the same student until the end of the reporting term. The threshold is listed in the Conditions section.
Careful writing in the language you tutor in
You write to parents every week. Your session reports have to be clear and free of mistakes.
The right to work in Canada
You invoice your hours as a self-employed worker.
We would rather tell you no right away than leave you waiting.
Responsibilities
What a session and the follow-up ask of you
A session is not a supervised study hall. Here is the real work.
Prepare before every session
You reread the previous session report and the material before you log in.
Make the student work, rather than working for them
You explain, then the student tries and gets it wrong. Homework done by the tutor solves nothing.
Write a session report every time
A few lines to the parents, in our template: what was covered and what still needs work.
Respect the schedule
You are online on time. If something comes up, you tell us ahead so the session can be made up.
Protect the student and their information
A confidentiality agreement is signed when you are hired. A situation beyond you gets reported: you do not carry it alone.
Conditions
Schedule, pay and status
A tutoring job should be clear about money and status before you apply. Here is ours.
- Schedule
- You declare your availability and change it from one semester to the next. You stay free to turn down a match.
- Pay
- Starting at $20 per hour of session taught. The exact rate depends on the level, the subject and your experience; it is confirmed to you in writing when you are hired.
- Payment method
- By bank transfer, at a fixed interval, based on the sessions confirmed on your statement.
- Status
- Self-employed worker: you invoice your hours and handle your own tax filings. No benefits are attached to the position.
- Minimum commitment
- A few hours a week, kept up until the end of the reporting term. The exact number is confirmed to you in writing before your first match.
- Training
- A mandatory onboarding session comes before your first student: our expectations, the session report template and the tools.
Process
How our hiring works
We will not announce a turnaround time we could not keep. Here is what happens, in order.

You send your application
A short form: contact details, education, subjects, levels, availability, experience and your résumé.
No photo, no transcript, no social insurance number.

We read it and we answer
Every application gets a reply, whether or not it moves forward.
If hiring is on hold in your subject, we will tell you straight.

Interview and subject check
A video call, then a short scenario: explain a concept to a student who is stuck.

Screening, onboarding and first match
Criminal record check, onboarding session, then a student once a request fits your profile.
This step depends on demand: we do not promise you a student in your first week.

Before you apply
Do I need teaching experience?
No. We check your command of the subject, your knowledge of the Quebec school programme and the way you explain things.
How many hours a week do I have to teach?
A few hours, at the same time each week, until the end of the reporting term. The minimum is confirmed to you in writing before your first match.
Is equipment provided?
No. The computer, the connection, the microphone and the camera are yours. We provide the platform and the session report template.
Am I guaranteed students?
No, and we will not promise it. The number of matches depends on demand in your subject.
How and when am I paid?
Starting at $20 per hour of session taught, by bank transfer, on a fixed schedule. The exact rate is confirmed to you in writing when you are hired.
Can I apply if I do not live in Montreal?
Yes, the sessions are online. Our students, though, are in Greater Montreal: your schedule has to follow their weekday evenings.
